Robert Bourne

Dr. Bourne is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Western Ontario, he is dedicated to teaching and research as well as his clinical practice. He has also been the President of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association (2005-2006) and the Hip Society (1998-1999). Dr. Bourne was president of the Knee Society in 2011.

Dr. Bourne’s practice is dedicated to adult reconstruction in hip and knee replacement. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Bourne is devoted to teaching and research. Dr. Bourne is actively involved with both clinical and basic science research. His primary interests are clinical trials, musculoskeletal imaging, wear studies, retrieval analyses and analysis of large data sets (i.e. Canadian Joint Replacement Registry).
